About Mark Kovacs-Biro

I am a Part 1 Architecture student currently studying at the University of Nottingham. I am enrolled on an integrated masters course in 'Architecture and Environmental Design' (MEng) and am on track to graduate with First Class Honours in the summer of 2021. I am also currently enrolled in the Nottingham Engineering Excellence Scheme, upheld for the top 5% of students at the university.

I am looking to take the next step in my career, to join a top architectural firm, who share a similar vision in architecture with me. With ambitions of working towards a better future, I hold environmental and sustainable design very highly in architecture and think we should be evolving our designs along with the rapid advancements in technology. However, spaces should not lose their integrity solely for the purpose of energy saving and should still function as desirable, comfortable and above all inspirational spaces to dwell in. I have written my dissertation paper in a similar vain, researching the psychological impacts of coloured smart window technology, and observing how more desirable indoor luminous conditions can be achieved with patterned chromatic glazing instead. My findings will be public shortly, when a scientific journal is published based on my research.

If you share my vision and want to build a better future with me, please contact me using my contact details displayed on this page or on my CV.
